There are numerous good places to stay in Diu.Suzlon beach hotel and Sea view are located facing the Ahmedpur Mandvi-Goghla beach and have a good choice of a/c and non a/c rooms and facilities. Kohinoor is Diu's best hotel for accommodations and facilities-it has deluxe a/c rooms, multi-cuisine restaurant, pool, health club, conference hall, recreational room etc-but is not located by the sea. Tents and Ganga Sagar guest house at Nagoa, a/c cabins at Chakratirth, a/c cottages and Jayshankar guest house at Jalandar and camping at Simmer are available for those who wan't to stay at the beach in a reasonable budget. There are numerous places for Gujarati and North Indian food. Kohinoor has an Indian, Chinese and Continental restaurant. For Portugese homecooking, visit Martha D'zouza or Carmine D'souza-either of them will cook a coconut rich prawn curry with steamed rice on 1 hour prior order. As Diu is a Union territory, there are numerous lively bars, offering the usual choice of `Indian made foreign liqour’, some imported makes and coconut cocktails. While at Diu, look at the old walls running between ornate arched gateways surrounding the town, carved with fine sculptured lions and Catholic statutory, the musical fountains and the Zampa waterfalls.
