The Akshardham is one of the
finest contemporary temples in all of India, using
a blend of traditional sandstone carving with

One of the four dhams of Hinduism,
together with Badrinath-Kedarnath, Rameshwaram
and Puri, Dwarka's association with lord Krishna
makes it a major place of pilgrimage.
The cluster of over 850 temples, crowning the high peak of
Shetrunjaya, 600 meters over Palitana town, offers
some really spectacular architecture, views and
an awesome aura of devotion. It is the most prominent
pilgrimage for Jains.
